A trio of car crashes yesterday morning prompted a warning from the fire service over the perils of driving on icy roads.
Three cars collided on Hook Street, Lydiard Tregoze at 8.43am, with one of them tipping onto its side.
The second incident followed on the same stretch of road closer to Bassett half an hour later and saw a car overturn.
The third and final crash happened at Withy Bed, Bushton, at 9.06am with another car landing on its roof.
No one was trapped in any of the incidents, with fire crews on hand to make the respective areas safe.
On Twitter, the Royal Wootton Bassett fire station said: “As you can tell, the roads are icy in many places. Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service urges all drivers to please take care when driving, particularly on back roads or under-used routes.”
