A WOMAN was pushed into the river in the centre of Salisbury by a man who attacked her and grabbed her handbag.
The woman was walking along the riverside path between Avon Approach and the Boathouse, and was near the medical centre when she was attacked from behind.
The man ran off leaving the woman shocked and bruised.
Police are hunting a white man, about 6ft tall of slim build. He had shoulder-length brown hair and had an unkempt appearance.
