THOUSANDS are predicted to visit Salisbury Cathedral next week, across five evenings of sound and light.

Sarum Lights is the first event of Salisbury 2020: City on the move, which will be running from Tuesday until Saturday next week.

The show will tell the 800-year old story of the cathedral through projections and soundscapes.

In order to manage the audience safely however, access to the Close will be restricted during performances each night, between 6pm and 11pm:

  • A road closure is in place for the High Street and there will be no vehicle access via the High Street Gate
  • No pedestrian access to the Close unless you are attending the show
  • St Ann’s Gate will be closed
  • No parking will be available in the Close
  • Access for ticket holders only through the Harnham Gate
