SALISBURY MP John Glen has kept his role in Westminster despite one of the most frantic cabinet reshuffles in recent times.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson ousted several of his former front bench to bring in some fresh faces, which includes new Chancellor Rishi Sunak after Sajid Javid shock lunchtime resignation.

But, despite the cabinet chaos at Number 10, city MP John Glen kept his Treasury position.

Tonight he said: "I am delighted to be asked to continue to serve as Economic Secretary to the Treasury and City Minister.

"This will be my third year in the role under my third Chancellor and I have a full agenda in what will be a critical year for Financial Services.

"I will continue to ensure that Salisbury’s interests are heard across Whitehall."
