ON your marks, get set, go!
The annual international pancake race returns for its 8th year on Tuesday (February 25).
The first "flip-off" takes place at 11am.
Once again St Thomas’s Church is teaming up with the Trussell Trust/Salisbury Food Bank to raise awareness of poverty, homelessness and social exclusion in local communities.
The fastest down the track and winning through the heats of fierce competition will receive the Golden Frying Pan “Poêle dorée" 2020.
Reverend Kelvin Inglis, the Rector of St Thomas’s, said: “The Pancake Race has become a key part of Shrove Tuesday in the City Centre. I shall be entering of course, attempting to win the famous Poêle dorée for the first time. It’s a wonderful community event.”
Representatives from the High Street Shops and other local organisations have entered runners but there is still time to enter the race.
