THE grounds of a Salisbury golf course have been damaged after a driving incident.
Yesterday the team at Salisbury and South Wilts Golf Club found muddy circular tracks through the 3rd Green, and are now appealing for more information and witnesses.
A spokesperson for Salisbury and South Wilts Golf Club, Netherhampton Road, said the incident has been reported to Wiltshire Police but officers are yet to visit.
They added: "[There is] no updates on the people responsible but we’ve had a good response on Facebook. Green keepers have done their best to repair the damage but it will be a while before we can play on it again."
Club member David Gell added: “It is saddening to think that some people take pleasure in this kind of vandalism and ruining other people’s pastime. But our fantastic greenkeepers are already hard at work to make the repairs.”
Wiltshire Police has been contacted for comment.
