A WOODFORD Valley author hopes to inspire readers to believe in themselves.

Angie Langley, who has written two books in the Jennifer Brown Series, held a book signing on Saturday, February 8 at Waterstones in Salisbury.

The series is based on her life experiences and inspired by the highs and lows of her past that have given her the strength to tackle life’s rich tapestry with a smile.

Angie explains: “About ten years ago my life took an emotional tumble. My world caved in and I needed to reinvent myself.

“Along the way there were some hilarious encounters that got me thinking and I turned to writing down my experiences and what I learnt from them”.

Drawing on Angie’s own experiences, Jennifer’s story is both light hearted and poignant, enhanced by her imagination and honest observations of life.

Angie has written two books in the Jennifer Brown Series and is currently working on her third. She is also working on an audio version of the book and Jennifer B, the musical theatre adaption of Jennifer Brown’s Journey premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe last August.

Angie is convinced confidence needs to be nurtured and encouraged by those around us. Her life-affirming message to other women is simply “The key to self-confidence is believing ‘You can’!”

She says: “I’d like to think the book champions the importance of self-belief in every-day situations that many women will relate to.”

Angie’s books can be purchased through Waterstones, Amazon and local outlets including the Fisherton Mill and Chalke House Emporium at Wilton Shopping Village.

Angie is very happy to talk at book clubs and women’s groups about her experiences.
