The Basingstoke Buffalo were narrowly beaten 5-4 by the visiting Bristol Pitbulls.
Warren Jones opened the scoring for the home side assisted by Jack Peacock at 3:52.
The visitors replied as Zach Dolphin and Jamie Newton scored.
However, a minute before the first buzzer Sam Brooks tied the game up as he converted a pass from Sam Dollin.
Bristol's Josh Dolphin and Newton made it 4-2, before a Brooks scored a penalty shot awarded after Josh Galea threw his stick.
Oscar Evans from Peacock levelled things up at 43:57, but Newton with his hat-trick strike sealed the win five minutes from time.
The Buffalo are next in action on March 7 (6.15pm) against Swindon.
