BUS engineer Rebekah Trevis-Smith has been named employee of the year by Salisbury Reds.
She was presented with her award at the company’s annual ceremony.
“Women are currently under-represented within the bus industry - particularly in a workshop environment, which many perceive to be a little daunting and intimidating at first,” said operations director, David Lee-Kong. “It is wonderful to learn of those who are able to dispel this myth.”
He said Rebekah was a “credit to the values of Salisbury Reds”, adding: “It speaks volumes when we award an apprentice with the title of employee of the year - and I am thrilled to be able to reward Rebekah’s efforts.”
Rebekah, who joined Salisbury Reds in 2017, said: “I’m surprised but absolutely thrilled to be honoured with this award. I have many amazing colleagues and managers who have helped me develop my skills since I joined Salisbury Reds almost three years ago.
“Now I’m excited to be continuing my career here - and will be doing all I can to improve still further over the coming months.”
She received £500 worth of vouchers and a framed certificate.
