SALISBURY's popular French market is set to return to the city later this month.

Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner - as well as selling a variety of continental cuisine, the market will be in the city on March 27 from 9am until 5pm.

It will be held in Salisbury Market Place.

A spokesperson for the city council said: "You can try a traditional French croissant or crepe made in front of you, or some delicious biscuits. For lunch, some tasty French cheeses with a baguette, or tartiflette - a famous cheese, bacon and potatoes dish from the French Alps.

"If you fancy a unique dinner treat then why not enjoy cuisses de canard – tinned duck, ready to cook- just add potatoes and veg for a delicious French Meal from the South West of France.

"There will be several other fab stalls to visit offering a wide selection of goods and gift items such as Provençal soaps, vintage music CDs, bags and purses, basket ware, jumpers and so much more.

"The traders from France at Home cross the Channel every week from France to hold their popular French Market in England so don’t miss the opportunity to come and say hello whilst visiting Salisbury."
