OSCAR Evans and Simon Beere both collected four point hauls as the Basingstoke Buffalo won their Hampshire derby clash at the Solent Devils 11-4.

Evans opened the scoring at 3:17 assisted by captain Neil Leary, his first of three on the night and Beere.

Matthew Byrom made it 2-0 from Cam Buckle his first of three helpers and Sam Brooks.

Samuel Hemming-Maher then completed a 3-0 first period assisted by Sam Compton.

The second period, saw Evans netted his second of the night, before Solent netted twice.

It was left to Buffs Beere to make it 5-2 at the second buzzer.

Just 38 seconds into the final period Beere added number six and 11 seconds the home side pulled a goal back.

Brooks made it 7-3, before Solent scored their last goal of the night.

After this the visitors scored four unanswered goals from Travis Penny from Sam Dollin, Brooks, Warren Jones and Josh Richards to complete the 11-4 victory.

The previous day the Buffalo were beaten 4-2 on home ice by the Swindon Wildcats 2.

All four goals were scored by Mason Lipsey the son of former Swindon legend Daryl Lipsey, the first after eight seconds.

The two Buffs goals came from Evans assisted by Beere and Leary and the other from Buckle with helpers from Dollin and Evans.
