A PLEA has been issued after drivers have repeatedly stopped and parked on the forecourt of Ringwood Fire Station.
It comes after firefighters had to speak to a number of people.
A post on the Ringwood Fire Station Twitter said: “We would just like to remind people that our fire station forecourt is not a stopping, parking or turning area.
“This includes stopping to send a text or making a quick phone call.
“We keep having to speak with a large number of people who think it’s acceptable to do this.”
Ringwood station commander Andy Weeks said: “Some drivers stop by station exits and even leave their cars on our grounds.
“We need that entire space to get the fire engine out.
“We want to remind the public that these issues cause delays and when tackling a fire or cutting somebody out of a car this can be the difference between life and death.
“By parking considerately you are helping us save lives. Imagine if it was your loved ones we were coming to help.”
