A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a crash involving a car on the A30 in Ansty.
It happened around midday today (March 21), the motorbike and car collided on the A30 outside a farm shop.
The female rider, who was in her 30s and from the Southampton area, died at the scene.
The female driver of the car was uninjured.
Police say the road is currently closed and will remain so for some time. Drivers are being urged to find an alternative route.
The deceased woman's family has been notified.
PC Pete Williamson said: "We are appealing for witnesses to this collision.
"If you were in the area at the time and saw or heard what happened, please come forward. Also, if you were passing this area and have a dash cam which may have footage on - again please contact us."
