THE number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Wiltshire is continuing to rise, with 70 people now testing positive across the county.

As of Friday, March 27, 54 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the Wiltshire Council area, with a further 16 in the Swindon Borough Council area.

In the Hampshire County Council area, 317 cases have been confirmed, following Birmingham as the second area with the highest number of cases.

The data, released yesterday by Public Health England, has revealed there has so far been 14,543 Covid-19 cases across the UK and 759 coronavirus-related deaths.
