Salisbury police officers drove 420 miles last night in an attempt to patrol "every corner of our patch".
Talking about their night shift on Facebook, the team admitted there was "very little to report" which was "good news".
Police Sergeant Steve Jolly said: "The city and roads are eerily empty and all those that we have come into contact with have a legitimate purpose for not being at home. It would seem for tonight that the good people of Salisbury are abiding by the rules of social distancing."
Despite this being a relatively quiet shift, the team kept busy covering the length and breath of their patch.
PS Jolly added: "My team have been patrolling throughout the night, attempting to get to every corner of our patch. Tonight, the team have covered a collective total of 420 miles. We will use this peaceful time for visible patrols, reducing the opportunity for crime to occur."
