HUSBAND and wife team, David and Barbara Mullen, bade farewell to Salisbury Market on Saturday after helping to run a stall there for the past 25 years.
David and Barbara have been regular Saturday volunteers on Salisbury Country Markets, which started life as the WI markets stall, and sells high-quality locally-produced plants, preserves and baked goods.
The couple have been involved in the plants side of the business - growing the plants themselves at home.
Now David will soon be retiring from his job with the Ministry of Defence at Tidworth, and he and Barbara will then be starting a new life in France.
Presenting them with a farewell gift last Saturday, treasurer of Salisbury Country Markets, Keith Wareham, said they would be sorely missed by friends and colleagues at the stall, and the many customers they had assisted over the years.
David and Barbara were both committee members of Salisbury Country Markets, and David also served for three-and-a-half years as chairman.
