A WATERPROOFING company is celebrating 20 years of service today, while continuing its work through the Covid-19 outbreak.

MacLennan, in Porton, has worked on projects across London and the south of England, including jobs for the Houses of Parliament, Wembley Stadium, The Shard and the 2012 London Olympics, and is today celebrating its continuing success as an independent business.

In 2000 MacLennan began as a building company, but soon the team, including the founder and managing director Ian MacLennan and his two sons, became specialist in damp and timber treatment.

By 2008 the business labelled themselves as market leading designers and installers of waterproofing systems.

Reflecting on the 20-year milestone, Ian said: β€œIt seems like a lifetime ago, when my wife and I started our local damp-proofing and timber treatment company, in our kitchen in Amesbury in the late 80s.

β€œI am going to raise a glass in the company pub to the staff and clients who got us to this 20-year anniversary and will see us through this present crisis.”

According to the MacLennan team, the business with around 50 employees has been built on a promise to protect the client, offering products which give the best value and customer satisfaction.

Despite coronavirus having an impact on the team's work and celebrations, MacLennan is still operating through a virtual office, and looks forward to returning to floodproofing, waterproofing and damp-proofing business as usual.
