A woman was assaulted outside a Marks and Spencer store in Trowbridge on Friday and now police have appealed for witnesses.

At about 11.50am on April 3, the woman was queuing outside the shop on County Way when a blue Nissan Micra pulled up into one of the child and parent parking spaces.

A man then got out of the vehicle and walked straight into the store ignoring the queue of customers.

The woman decided to take a photograph of the car before entering the store herself.

She completed her shopping and left the shop, walking past the Nissan Micra.

As she did so two women got out of the car - the first one started shouting at her while the second one grabbed her hair and punched her in the head.

They both then got back in to the car which was driven off by the man.

The man is described as white, aged between 40 and 50-years-old and of large build.

The first woman is described as white, short, slim, and around 40-years-old with brown hair. The second woman is described as white and approximately 16-20-years-old.
