THE weekly Clap for Carers is a celebration of health workers and key workers across the country. But staff at Salisbury District Hospital who take part in it every week, have this time used the opportunity to thank the public instead.

At 8pm last night, the hospital shared a video on social media to clap the public for "all the gestures of kindness and good wishes we’ve received during this challenging time".

From doctors and nurses to porters, kitchen staff and security guards, the team at Salisbury, including Chief Executive Cara Charles-Barks, featured in the short video to "clap for the community".
