A LITTLE girl from Salisbury has been running one mile a day to raise money for Salisbury District Hospital.
Kaiya Thompson, 10, has been doing three lapses of a field next to her home on Fairfield Road since May 1.
She is due to complete her challenge, which has so far raised £370, on May 31.
Her mum Sarah Church, 42, said: "She's quite a bright girl and I think with all the fundraising that's been going on, we followed Captain Tom and saw what he raised, she just wanted to do something."
After putting their thinking cap on, the Manor Field pupil and her mum came up with the running challenge.
"Her legs are tired but they are still going.
"She's done amazing, I'm so proud of her, I couldn't do it. It's so hard with the lockdown to motivate yourself and she hadn't been running for a while."
