AN ONLINE auction captured plenty of interest with a timber bungalow in Woodfalls selling for £106,000 more than the guide price.
The one-bedroom property, Nestledown, on Lodge Drove fetched £246,000 freehold in an auction by land and property auctioneers Clive Emson.
Rob Marchant, the firm’s auctioneer for Wiltshire and Hampshire, said: “There was a lot of interest in Nestledown, with the virtual hammer coming down on a final deadline bid of £246,000, which was £106,000 above estimate.”
He added: “The location, on a 0.23-acre site, overlooking open countryside, caught the imagination of bidders.”
All of Clive Emson’s 65 lots, featuring property and land across England and Wales, were placed online due to Covid-19.
The auction was held on May 6. It was Clive Emson’s largest online auction since the firm was established 31 years ago.
