FIREFIGHTERS had a rather unusual call-out yesterday after a snake was found inside a home.
Fire crews from Wilton and Salisbury were sent to a property in Great Wishford at around 4.40pm yesterday.
A small snake was found. It was trapped between two doors inside the building.
A post on the Wilton Fire Station Facebook page said: "After receiving a call from a very distressed occupant we arrived to find no fire but this slippery little intruder in the hall."
Firefighters rescued the snake and released it into the wild within half an hour - away from any houses.
