A WOMAN sustained serious injuries after driving through a road closure on the A31.

Police were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision just before the junction for Burley Services at 3.10am on Saturday (May 23).

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.10am on 23 May to reports of a two vehicle collision on the A31, just before the junction for Burley Services.

"A Ford Fusion had driven through a road closure, there was a collision with a Ford Transit van. The driver of the Fusion, a 49-year-old woman from Ringwood, was taken to hospital for treatment for her injuries. Her injuries are serious but not life-threatening.”
