A WOMAN was left with minor injuries after being assaulted in Salisbury last night.
The incident took place on New Canal, close to the taxi rank, at 8.45pm.
Police say a group of three women and a man were approached by two men who began acting aggressively towards them.
One of these men then assaulted one of the women before leaving the area.
She suffered minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
A 23 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and he remains in custody at this time.
