A MAN has been hit in the head during an attempted robbery on Salisbury slip road.
Shortly before 9.30am on Sunday May 31, a man in his 30s had pulled over in a Ford Focus along the slip road leading towards the entrance to Culver Street car park from Churchill Way East, when two men approached the vehicle and demanded he hand over money.
One of the men then used a catapult to fire a small item at the man’s head.
The first man is described as white, aged between 35 and 40, approximately 5 ft 8 inches tall and of chubby build, with light brown coloured hair.
The second man is described as mixed race, aged between 30 to 35, approximately 5 ft 6 inches tall and of slender build. He had short shaved dark coloured hair and was wearing a light coloured hooded jacket.
PC Susan Malkinson said: “This was understandably a frightening experience for the victim who sustained a minor head injury during the incident.
“We’d like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, including anyone who may have been driving past and may have a dash cam fitted to their vehicle which could have captured significant footage.”
