A man accused of repeatedly assaulting his ex-partner in his friend’s car in Salisbury has been remanded in custody.
Reece Barnes, 25, pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault by beating.
The charges follow an incident on St Paul’s roundabout, Salisbury, on Thursday, May 28.
Barnes is accused of confronting his ex-girlfriend as she drove her mum’s BMW, persuading her to get into a following car being driven by his friend and assaulting the woman. He denies the assault.
Magistrates remanded the Wolverhampton man in custody ahead of a bail hearing on June 4 as Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
