A MAN has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with assaulting a police officer in Salisbury.
Mark Archibald, 38, of no fixed address, appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court today.
Archibald is charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a police officer, battery of a member of the public and assault on another police officer following an incident in Elizabeth Gardens on Tuesday evening (June 2).
No formal plea was entered and he is next due to appear in Bristol Crown Court on June 29.
