Here's how we've followed the story of Oscar Saxelby-Lee as he has battled leukaemia over the past 18 months.
In February 2019, we told how Oscar's parents Olivia Saxelby and Jamie Lee were were warned Oscar was suffering from an aggressive cancer and had only three months to find a life-saving bone marrow donor
Nearly 5,000 queued to register as a potential donor for Oscar at a donor drive held in March at Pitmaston Primary, where he is a pupil. The event has so far led to at least six potential donor matches
Despite undergoing a bone marrow transplant, Oscar's leukaemia returned and his parents were told there were no more options to cure him on the NHS. They launched an appeal for £500,000 to pay for pioneering treatment in Singapore
Within 3 weeks, people in Worcester and beyond had rallied to raise more than £700,000 via an appeal via the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust through fundraising events, Oscar days and bucket collections
At last, in January this year, the news came that Oscar's gruelling treatment had worked and he was free from cancer
Oscar is now back home in St John's where he faces an ongoing battle to regain full health. His triumphant return was greeted with joy by all those who supported his campaign.
