SALISBURY'S Wetherspoon is set to reopen "early to mid-August", pub staff have today confirmed.
As previously reported, The King's Head Inn on Bridge Street, otherwise known as Salisbury Wetherspoon, closed its doors to the public on March 1 for a refurbishment costing more than £500,000.
These works were halted by the Covid-19 pandemic, but it has been confirmed by the pub chain that this project will resume on Monday, July 6.
This follows the news that pubs, hairdressers, hotels and restaurants can reopen from Saturday.
A spokesperson for Wetherspoon said: "The refurbishment work will recommence this coming Monday and the proposed reopening date, we don't have an exact date, [would be] early to mid-August."
