ARMED response officers and a police helicopter were called out to a report of people carrying a firearm.
Dorset Police were called to the Three Legged Cross area on Sunday, June 28 at 12.15pm. A spokesperson said: “Due to the nature of the call armed response officers and the police helicopter supported local officers to search for persons seen carrying possible firearms.
“Despite an extensive search no persons or weapons were located. Our enquiries to identify the persons involved continue. To reassure the community there was no other information to suggest that the persons sighted were involved in any other incident.”
