THE Stars Appeal has held its annual Walk for Wards today - but with a difference.
To coincide with national plans to celebrate the NHS's birthday, the charity encouraged its supporters to organise socially distanced walks - following government guidelines - and get sponsored as they usually would, to help raise funds for Stars Appeal projects that support patients and NHS staff around the hospital.

The charity said on its website: "Although we can’t all be together in person, everyone who Walks for Wards on Sunday 5th July will be part of a huge team effort, raising money to enable the Stars Appeal to fund projects helping both patients and staff at Salisbury Hospital."

A lovely walk all to raise funds and awareness for our hospital charity who do an amazing job to create the best possible experience for patients and their families by funding extra care and equipment above that provided by NHS@StarsAppeal @SalisburyNHS #proudtobeanambassador pic.twitter.com/MtskapzO5A
