POLICE were able to reunite a stolen tractor with its owner thanks to an “eagle eyed” farmer.
The theft happened on the night of July 1 in the Alderholt area.
A post of the FordingbridgeCops Facebook page said: “Thanks to an eagle eyed farmer and some great cross boarder work between Hampshire’s PSCO May and Dorset’s PC Haggett from the rural crime team, the owner of this stolen tractor has been happily reunited with his equipment.
“If you have any information that may help in identifying those responsible, please call 101 and quote Dorset reference 55200095439.
“This is a great example of the work that goes on in our rural communities with our business and land owners and the workers who rely on this type of equipment to keep the country moving.”
