A COMET which was visible to the eye has been snapped by a Salisbury Journal reader.
Pictured by Grant Privett over Broad Chalke, it can be seen travelling through the late evening sky.
He said: "I was out last night [Friday] and spotted this naked eye-visible comet from Cranborne Chase - well, Broad Chalke specifically.
"It is a classic comet shape."
He added: "It should become easier to spot over the next week or so but is currently visible all night close to the northern horizon."
