A NEW market is coming to north Dorset for one weekend only, offering a place to sell produce and meet customers that were missed during the Covid-19 lockdown.
The Gillingham and Shaftesbury Food and Crafts Market will be at Motcombe Turnpike Showground on July 26 between 10.30am and 4pm, with open spaces, food and drink stalls and artisan crafts.
Organisers say the event will “give back to the local community and the businesses that have lost out due to the pandemic by providing a place to sell product and meet customers”.
They added: “Whether you are after gifts, herbs, trout or gluten free goodies - Turnpike Showground is here for you.”
The only charge is car parking, which is £3 in advance or £5 on arrival, to assist in the maintenance of the showground and Covid-19 precautions.
