Salisbury Playhouse joined theatres across the country to be wrapped in pink and white ribbons as part of a project to support the industry.
The ribbons display the words "missing live theatre".
The project is being led by a group of stage designers called Scene Change to support the theatre industry.
Sebastian Warrack, the executive director of Wiltshire Creative, said: “It’s been so disappointing not to be able to offer performances at either Salisbury Playhouse or Salisbury Arts Centre since March and we know that audiences and everyone involved are missing the buzz of live theatre. So we are happy to join with other venues and the Scene Change team to show our support and remind everyone of the importance of theatre to our communities.”
Venues across the UK including London’s National Theatre, Manchester’s Royal Exchange and Chichester Festival Theatre have all been wrapped in recent weeks.
Theatres have been closed since the middle of March due to the Covid-19 lockdown and currently still remain closed.
