Carrie Alderson and David Bowes sent us a picture of Callum David Bowes, who was born on June 28 at Darlington Memorial Hospital, weighing 6lb 11oz. Callum has a sibling, Annabell. Mum and dad wish Callum “a happy healthy future”

Sarah Jackson and Aaron Ward became parents to Lilli Ann Ward on June 8 at University Hospital of North Durham. Their newborn daughter weighed 8lb 15oz and her siblings are Pippa, Grace and Henry. Mum and dad said: “We would like Lilli to enjoy life, follow her heart and be whatever she chooses to be”

Amy Midgley and Kevin Spencer welcomed Oliver George Spencer into the world on April 28 at Darlington Memorial Hospital. Oliver weighed 8lb 13oz and has a brother, Zachary Jackson Spencer, who is three. Amy said: “We wish Oliver a happy and healthy life. My parents were admitted to hospital with Covid-19 at the end of March, weeks before I was due to give birth. Luckily, they are both recovering now, but I cannot thank the staff at Darlington enough for providing a relaxed environment to bring Oliver into the world and helping me to forget about the troubles we are facing. They go above and beyond”

Lindsey Ham and Ryan Ham became parents to Evie Ham on April 10. Evie was born at Darlington Memorial Hospital, weighing 7lb 8oz. Mum Lindsey said: “I wish her to be the best little sister to Isla. I was very anxious about going into hospital during lockdown, but when I got there I definitely had nothing to worry about, all the midwives were lovely and made me feel very relaxed. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the midwives there”

Caroline Parkinson and James Parkinson welcomed Archie Samuel Parkinson into the world on July 16 at the University Hospital of North Durham. Archie weighed 8lb 8oz and is brother to Elliott and Heidi. Caroline said: “I wish for a healthy, happy and fulfilled future for Archie. I would also like to thank the amazing midwives and staff, particularly Samantha and Katie on Ward 8 at UHND for safely bringing our son into the world especially during these difficult times. They were all brilliant”

Sophie Parkin and Andrew Ascough became parents to Joel Alexander on June 14. Joel was born at Darlington Memorial Hospital and weighed 6lb 7oz. Mum and dad said: “ Welcome to the world Joel, we love you very much”

Kaylee Carter and Ashley Carter welcomed Owen James Carter into the world on April 14, at Darlington. Owen weighed 7lb 8oz and has a brother Ryan Carter. Mum Kaylee said: “A wonderful little brother to Ryan, and Mammy has put together a scrapbook of your arrival during the lockdown of 2020, so you will never forget what was happening in the world when you arrived into it. Massive thanks to Darlington maternity ward and the two lovely women who stopped in the corridor to help me and carry my bags up to the ward until my husband was allowed in”
