THE river bank at Churchill Gardens in Salisbury has been transformed to make it more "wildlife friendly".
Salisbury City Council has been working with Wiltshire Wildlife Trust to create a wildlife friendly river bank in Churchill Gardens.
This forms part of the wider Garden Meets Rivers Edge project in Partnership with Natural England.
The area has been planted with wildlife friendly plants including water mint, marsh marigold, purple loosestrife and meadowsweet which will add additional colour to the river bank during spring and summer months.

Residents with river banks in gardens are also encouraged to adopt similar methods to make theirs more wildlife friendly.
