THE stray ginger cat keeping Salisbury Police officers and staff company at Salisbury Hospital during the pandemic has died.
A few weeks ago, in a bid to find Thomas a forever home, Salisbury Police shared his story, and about how Thomas was helping to keep officers positive during a difficult time.
After the appeal, Thomas was then taken in by Cat Watch Wiltshire who have been ensuring he received all the medical care he needed.
Following a number of operations on his teeth and ears, Thomas died today.
Salisbury Police said: "We were never sure of Thomas’ age but we think he must have been older than he appeared.
"As the saying goes, happiness is having a cat as a friend, and Thomas’ company has certainly left a pawprint on our lives."
