GARAGES and sheds at six addresses on Devizes Road in Salisbury were broken into on the same day.

During the incident, which happened during the early hours of Monday (July 27), power tools including chainsaws were stolen.

Police say damage was also caused to the sheds.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "In total, garages and sheds at six separate addresses at the top end of Devizes Road were broken in to and power tools including chainsaws were stolen. Damage was caused to the sheds by offenders as they forced entry.

"It is believed the burglaries happened at approximately 2am.

"We’d urge anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in the area around this time on Monday morning to contact us on 101 and quote crime reference number 54200073916.
