SALISBURY will receive a special fly-past from a Spitfire today (Saturday).
The Aircraft Restoration Company aircraft is scheduled to fly-over Salisbury District Hospital at around 3.47pm.
It has launched the NHS Spitfire Project as a way to say thank you to the NHS and those who have helped and inspired others during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Over the next few months the Air Craft Restoration Company is going to be hand writing 80,000 names onto its photo-reconnaissance blue Spitfire PL983 ‘L’.
It is asking members of the public to make nominations, which can be a kind neighbour, family member on the front line, volunteer PPE producer, or anyone who has helped /inspired them through the Covid-19 pandemic.

The crowdfunding page has raised more than £19,000 for the NHS Charities Together appeal.
