THE landlord of The Hampshire Bowman needs a haircut – but there will be more than one barber doing the shaving.
Mark Newman is raising money for MacMillan in honour of Heather, the previous landlady of the Bishop's Waltham pub.
She died during lockdown and the cancer charity supported her family throughout.
On August 9, the pub will be hosting a charity raffle starting at 3pm.
Those with the winning tickets will get to shave off a strip of Mark's hair.
On the pub's Facebook page, a spokesperson said: "The Landlord needs a hair cut and wants you to help him. If your ticket is pulled you get to shave a strip of Mark the Landlord’s locks off.
"One lucky winner will get to “wet shave” his beautiful bonce at the end. There will be a few extra prizes too including some very kindly donated by Outlaws Barbers of Bishops Waltham (who will be supervising these shenanigans) along with beer, cider and a few other goodies.
"Raffle tickets can be bought in advance however you will need to be present on the day to be able to win a prize."
Heather’s fundraising page for Countess Mountbatten Hospice is still open and people can donate here: https://heatherseymour.muchloved.com/Fundraising.
Outlaws Barbers are also doing some fundraising of their own for Orchid Cancer after losing James, one of their barbers, just a couple of weeks ago.
This can be found here: www.theoutlawsbarbershop.nearcut.com/products/RA9OBS?shop_token=CUPZI2
PPE will be provided to anyone cutting Mark’s hair.
