LAST night Salisbury's arts venues were lit up in red to show support for the entertainment and events industry.
Salisbury Playhouse and Salisbury Arts Centre, under Wiltshire Creative, took part in the #LightItInRed movement to highlight the difficulties these outlets are facing during the Covid-19 crisis.
More than 500 venues took part across the UK.
It was announced at the end of last month that 40 per cent of jobs at Wiltshire Creative could be at risk of redundancy, and 92 per cent of its income has been lost during the coronavirus outbreak.
The 2020 Salisbury International Arts Festival was cancelled as a result of Covid-19, and there is currently no guidance as to when the venues will be able to reopen without social distancing.
