EMERGENCY services were called to deal with a medical incident Salisbury.

Police and ambulance vehicles were seen in the area of Cherry Orchard Lane near the railway bridge earlier this morning (Thursday, August 13).

The road was closed off but has been now been reopened. 

Police say emergency services were dealing with a 'medical episode'.

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust said a male patient was treated for a suspected head injury. 

A spokesperson said: "We were called at around 11am to reports of an injured person on Cherry Orchard Lane, Salisbury. Our crews assessed and treated a male patient at the scene for a suspected head injury."
