LANDSCAPE painter Rob Hames had to venture closer to home to seek inspiration for new exhibition #PAUSE.
The lockdown restrictions meant he could not travel to his usual location of Salisbury Plain.
From the domesticity of plants on the windowsill to numerous sketches collected on his daily walk around the Cathedral Close - he found a whole new Salisbury and landscape to paint within walking distance from his front door.
These sketches from his “Salisbury Sketchbooks” and oil paintings on canvas can be seen in the exhibition, which opens on August 22 at Fisherton Mill Gallery in Salisbury. Entry is free.
The exhibition runs until September 26. Go to fishertonmill.co.uk or robhames.com for more information.
