COVID-19 cases across Wiltshire have gone down slightly in the past week, the latest weekly figures show.

In the seven days to August 21, a total of 21 cases were recorded across the county compared to 23 the week before.

This means that the rate of infection has also decreased, going from 4.6 per 100,000 people to 4.2.

The figures are based on Public Health England data published on August 24 on the Government’s coronavirus online dashboard.

They take into account positive results from tests carried out in laboratories (pillar one of the Government’s testing programme) and in the wider community (pillar two).

Data for the most recent three days (August 22-24) has been excluded as it is incomplete and likely to be revised.
