TWO of the stars of last Christmas’s pantomime at Salisbury Playhouse are returning for one night only to host a fundraising auction.
Nurse Nora and The Sheriff of Nottingham, alias actors Adrian Grove and Greg Barnett, will be hosting the auction at the Picnic in the Park event at Trafalgar Park, Downton, on tomorrow (Saturday, August 29).
They will be dressed for the occasion in their panto costumes.
Money-can’t-buy prizes will include a cameo role in the next Playhouse pantomime, a private pottery class for two and an exclusive cinema screening for a group of thirty.
The main event of Picnic in the Park be the screening of the Oscar-winning movie Shakespeare in Love, with an onscreen message from a very special guest.
All proceeds from the event will go towards Wiltshire Creative reopening its venues and future artistic activities in the city and beyond.
Wiltshire Creative’s development director Helen Taylor, said: “Adrian and Greg brought the house down with their comedy capers in Robin Hood, and we’re delighted that they’ve agreed to return to spread some panto joy at our fundraising event. Who knows what they’ll get up to.”
