PLANS to build 96 homes in Fordingbridge are being mooted.

Pennyfarthing Homes says it is working on plans to bring forward a development on land at Tinkers Cross.

Ben Arnold, the land and planning director at Pennyfarthing, said: “We are initially looking to bring forward a sympathetic development of around 96 homes that makes a positive contribution to Fordingbridge on land that has already been identified for housing in the Local Plan.

“We recognise that there are few sites available across the New Forest to meet the district’s housing needs, and this is one of them. We have a proven track record of delivering high-quality schemes in Fordingbridge, such as Augustus Park.

"We are now liaising closely with the council’s planning officers on an application for Tinkers Cross Farm, which we hope to submit soon.”
