A MOUNTAIN bike was stolen in Amesbury after a boy in his early teens was allegedly punch and kneed in the face.

The incident happened on Boscombe Road between the Co-op and the double roundabout with Butterfield Drive at about 5.10pm on Wednesday, August 26.

The boy, who was with two friends at the time, was allegedly punched in the face twice then kneed in the face before the suspect stole his bike and cycled off in the direction of Butterfield Drive.

The suspect who carried out the assault is described as being a white male, about 15 years old, approximately 5ft 9 inches tall and was wearing either a white t-shirt or a grey hoodie, with black tracksuit bottoms.

The man was allegedly in a group with one other boy with a black electric scooter and a girl.

The boy with the electric scooter was described as being younger than the suspect and wearing a black hoody, with the hood raised, and a black face mask so only his eyes were visible.

The girl had shoulder-length blonde hair and was wearing blue jeans.

The stolen bike is described as being a black and orange Scott mountain bike.

PCSO Michael Fairbrother said: “We are looking to anybody with any information or who may have witnessed the attack, particularly a woman who was walking along Boscombe Road at the time.

“If you were driving along Boscombe Road or Butterfield Drive around the time of the incident as well, we’d be interested if you have dash-cam footage which could assist us with our investigations.
