Works to resurface a section of the eastbound slip road at the A338 Parkhouse Cross junction are due to start today (Monday September 21).

To allow Highways England to resurface the slip road, the A303 eastbound exit and entry slip roads will be closed over three nights starting on Monday from 9pm to 6am.

The works are expected to take six weeks.

They will see improvements made to the A338 Parkhouse Cross junction, by widening the end of the eastbound exit and entry slip roads where it meets the A338 Salisbury Road, Highways England says.

The work, originally planned for June/July, will include widening to allow two lanes at the bottom of the eastbound exit slip road, and widening the turn from Salisbury Road into the eastbound entry slip road.

Signed diversions will be in place via the A343 Hundred Acre/Monxton Interchange (Andover) for traffic wishing to exit at Parkhouse Cross and via Solstice Park Interchange for traffic wishing to join the A303 at Parkhouse Cross.
