The Office for National Statistics found that around 47 per cent of people in employment did some work at home in April 2020. Around 86 per cent of these were due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

More people are working from home than ever before, and for most a full move back to the office is looking unlikely. According to Alphawise, the research unit for Morgan Stanley, the vast majority (over 82 per cent) who worked from home during the pandemic would like to continue remote working.

Reliable broadband ranked second highest commodity

In another recent survey undertaken by TalkTalk, reliable broadband was ranked as the second most important commodity during lockdown (51 per cent). Beating online shopping deliveries (37 per cent) and ranking only behind having a garden (59 per cent).

Only full fibre broadband can guarantee a fast and reliable connection. It enables users to work seamlessly – uploading and downloading files, video calling and more. All whilst others in the household are busy streaming, downloading and playing at the same time.
